On June 10, 1934, General Directorate of the garment industry issued an order No. 127 on the opening of the factory apprenticeship school on the Rosa Luxembourg Street, 2, to train personnel for the Tomsk garment factory. The first student’s recruitment (75 people) was made in the same year: 3 groups of seamstress’ and 1 group of shoemen. At the beginning of 1950, the factory apprenticeship school was moved to the building on Bazarnaya Square, 43 (Lenin Square, 8). The building on Lenin Avenue, 100 was provided to the trade school in 1959, there were only 2 sewing workshops, a library, a director's office, an office of a senior foreman and a masters' room of industrial training. In August 1960, the factory apprenticeship school was renamed to the "garment workers' factory apprenticeship school" and then the factory apprenticeship school was transferred to the Department of Vocational Education and was called "Vocational School No. 12." Since 1991, vocational school switched to an independent balance. In 1997, vocational school changed its address, the new building was located on Voikova Street, 86. The reconstruction of the building began in the same year. In 2001, the work of the regional experimental platform began on the topic: "Professional training of graduates of correctional schools, including disabled people in a general vocational school" A correction department was opened in 2002 And already in 2004, the district teacher resource center for professional training and rehabilitation of people with disabilities was approved. In 2006, our vocational school received a new name: "Regional State Educational Institution of Primary Vocational Education "Vocational School No. 12 " On October 23, 2013 it was renamed into The Regional State Budgetary Professional Educational Institution "Tomsk College of Social Technologies".
